Activity Generation#
After the initial long-term location and mobility option choice, the next step is activity generation. The model generates activity episodes for each agent for the entire modelled day. The current model uses a cross-classification table based on activity types and socio-demographics.
Note that POLARIS does not explicitely model at-home activities other than work and as such these are created whenever it is possible to travel home between two activities. POLARIS also assumes that agents start their day at home and, if possible time-wise, go back home at the end of the day.
