Building new models#

Building a new Polaris models is not a trivial or quick task, so you should not underestimate the time it takes to do it. It is a complex integrated transport model, after all.

This section presents guides on how to create most of the elements needed for a model, as well as instructions on how to use resources from Polaris-Studio that automate various portions of the model-creation process.

Population synthesis and the supply database are two critical elements needed when building a new Polaris model, and should be undertaken before any other steps are considered.
