New demand model#

Developing a demand model for a new region from scratch is a time-consuming process. POLARIS provides functionallity to speed up the process. To generate a synthetic population for any region in the US from census data, see Population Synthesis. To transfer an exisiting POLAIRS demand model to a new region and calibrate to local data, see :ref:running_calibration.
