H5 Database Structure#
Polaris uses HDF5, rather than sqlite, when the volume of data to be stored is large. Currently the H5 file is organised into three top level folders:
link_moe - Measure of effectivness (MOE) data for each link - {volumes, speed, travel times, etc.}
turn_moe - Measure of effectivness (MOE) data for each turn - {penalty, flow rate, delay, etc}
paths - Paths (sequence of links) that were traversed by a sub-sample of the travelers being simulated
